After 10 years of experience in the field of nutrition and weight management, I have reached a reasonable conclusion: there are three vital reasons why people gain weight and ultimately become chubby or obese:
- Hormonal imbalance is correlated with a slow metabolism.
- Bad eating habits (Lack of knowledge concerning what is and what is not healthy).
- A sedentary lifestyle (Calories out less than Calories in).
Before asking yourself HOW SHOULD I LOSE WEIGHT, it’s more crucial to ask yourself why did I gain weight in the first place?
Consequently, treating the reason behind weight gain is the key to successful and sustainable weight loss. The famous quote, "Let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food," often attributed to Hippocrates, resonates with me. Moreover, I believe you can eat everything in moderation while losing weight easily. However, moderation can be quite a struggle, and in some cases, it isn't even an option. Hence, it is more effective to avoid certain types of food entirely, as they can disrupt your hormones and lead to long-term weight gain.
